Tracking Intercraft project progress in Barcelona!
On December 4th and 5th, Odyssea participated in the INTERCRAFT project partners meeting in Barcelona, organised and hosted by ELISAVA Barcelona Design and Engineering school. Our visit included a comprehensive tour of the school’s facilities, including the library, workshops where students execute their projects, and an exhibition showcasing designs inspired by books of Swedish authors in the field of design and construction.
During the meeting, we presented Module 1, which was designed by us. We engaged in discussions about the anticipated outcomes of this course and the achievement of its pedagogical goals. Each partner then presented their respective chapters, emphasizing how the diverse backgrounds of the partners contribute to shaping the Joint Curriculum of the project. The dialogue also delved into planning pilot actions scheduled for mid-2024. Furthermore, we discussed the ongoing development of the digital platform and matters pertaining to project dissemination, aiming to enhance its impact while maintaining quality standards. Our visit also included exploring the showroom of our Barcelona partners, ΑΜΒΙΤ.
After completing our work, the group dined at Mescladís, a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting social cohesion. Mescladís operates a food court that provides training to vulnerable migrants, facilitating their integration into related food courts in Barcelona.
Despite our busy schedule, we took the opportunity to explore Barcelona and appreciate notable examples of modernism and postmodernism that embellish the city. Our return was marked by a wealth of ideas and renewed enthusiasm to successfully conclude the project.
Intercraft – A bridge between traditional knowings and cultures is an Erasmus+ ΚΑ2 project that aims to promote social inclusion and intercultural dialogue among migrants, social workers and local artisans through an innovative new training path.
