Empowering vulnerable women and youth with disabilities in the digital age
Our vision is to build a world where people thrive by realizing their full potential. Inclusion is a key component to creating a solid pathway towards achieving that goal and as we have witnessed, vulnerable women and youth with disabilities are primary victims of the lack of inclusion.This project supports vulnerable women and youth with disabilities in order to best respond to employment opportunities, by providing tailored vocational and life-skills training along with employability services.
SKILLS 4 ALL
SKILLS 4 ALL, the new action implemented under Piraeus Bank’s EQUALL programme in strategic partnership with Odyssey, is addressed to vulnerable young people and focuses on the creation of sustainable career choices through vocational training and their connection with the labour market.
It is a holistic action aiming to create added value for the beneficiaries themselves, as well as for society and the economy in general, by training and channeling human resources into sectors of the market where there is a serious shortage.
Refugee women academy
Refugee Women Academy, the new action implemented under Piraeus Bank’s EQUALL programme in strategic partnership with Odyssea, is addressed to vulnerable refugee women and focuses on their vocational training in tourism professions aiming to assist their integration into the labour market. The Refugee Women Academy is an initiative of Piraeus Bank, in close collaboration with UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, in Greece.
Re-SAIL
Αn innovative action that trains and raises awareness of children and young people about the environment and the blue economy, focusing on sailing, recycling, and the empowerment of vulnerable social groups.
The project has three main pillars, Technical and entrepreneurship training, Employability services and Innovative environmental actions for children.
Empowering vulnerable youth in Greece to enter the world of work
A program to support young vulnerable people in the best way possible by implementing a holistic approach to assist equally both unemployed Greeks and guest communities integrate into society. The model is built upon 3 equally important main services, often consecutive and complementary to each other, Orientation, Vocational training and Employability services.
Caring for the Caregiver
An innovative vocational training programme for older people’s support occupations. Odyssey proposes a holistic action that will alleviate and serve these vulnerable groups. Within the framework of the action we will design two fast-track vocational training programmes, entitled “Care Worker for the Elderly” and “Health Service Advisor”. These programmes aim to provide elderly members of society and their relatives with the necessary support for their daily needs and at the same time train vulnerable people to secure a job by staffing a field that suffers from a lack of qualified personnel.
You Have a Second Chance
Odyssea in cooperation with KETHEA EN DRASI implements an unprecedented in the Greek context, holistic approach for the social reintegration of imprisoned and released former users of psychoactive substances. The project includes therapeutic treatment, vocational training, professional orientation, and post-therapeutic support for smooth reintegration.
Diversity & Inclusion: Odyssea’s paradigm towards integration and equality
The programme supports young vulnerable people by applying a holistic approach to help equally unemployed young Greeks and host communities to integrate into society. Our experience in workforce development integration programmes for vulnerable groups demonstrates that non-discrimination between vulnerable host and guest communities accelerates the integration of refugees and migrants into the workplace.
Empowerment and vocational training for youth neither in employment nor in education or training
The aim of the project is the vocational training of young people who do not participate in education or employment processes (NEETs) and their promotion to employment. To achieve the objective, the following actions will be implemented:
- Beneficiary assessment
- Introductory hands-on workshops in selected professional disciplines
- Vocational training in various disciplines
- Creation/development of a professional profile
- Introduction of graduates to the labour market
NADINE
(HORIZON EUROPE)
NADINE project’s aim is to develop a novel way of integrating migrants and refugees through ICT-enabled solutions that will automatically adapt to the specificities of each person. NADINE creates an adaptable platform able to: 1) provide functionalities for skill assessment, 2) dynamically create tailored suited training programs to adapt existing skills into host societies needed skills, 3) provide a digital companion that will suggest and assist the end-users through administrative tasks and 4) create a data lake available to public administration bodies for better organization of migration flows.
SENSE.STEAM
(HORIZON EUROPE)
The project aims to feed the talent pipeline, enable and promote vivid brain circulation and fresh innovation power to prepare the EU at large to solve todays and societal challenges; to demonstrate added value of STEAM for science education and how it stimulates uptake of science careers; to equip students, education providers, businesses with knowledge, practices and tools to develop STEAM based curricula and learning approaches.
JOINCLUSION

The project has the ambition to achieve a new milestone towards the provision of innovative game-based pedagogy and assessment methods boosting emotional intelligence, empathy in particular, as a key pillar of pro-social skills fostering diversity and inclusion. The project combines interactive multimedia design with the most effective principles of technologically-mediated learning to develop a game-based educational tool applying psychological modelling of scenarios, to engage the learner emotionally and collaboratively, supporting cognitive engagement, affective engagement, behavioural engagement and socio-cultural engagement.
INTERCRAFT

The project INTERCULTURAL CRAFT: a bridge between traditional knowledge and different cultures (INTERCRAFT) aims to promote new forms of
social innovation and intercultural dialogue, creating and supporting learning and training paths that can recognize and enhance the craft skills and competences of migrants, asylum seekers, refugees, and relate their skills to the traditional local artisan knowledge of the host European territories. Main objectives:
• enhance the traditional knowledge and skills of migrant people;
• contrast the dispersion of local traditional artisan knowledge and techniques.
E-MEDIC

The E-MEDIC project proposal aims to deliver practical strategies and learning modules for the academic staff (professors, lecturers, researchers) in health sector.
The main idea of the project is to provide methods and solutions adapted to the specific needs of the medical educators. In particular, the learning platform will be designed to be very ease-of-use, with targeted contents, giving the possibility to the medical educators to learn also when they have little slots of time. The learning environment will be designed (and co-designed with them) starting from the paradigms of the ubiquitous and mobile learning.
VOICES OF MIGRANT WOMEN

The VIW project is funded by the European Commission through the Spanish National Agency for the Erasmus+ Programme, with the aim of making HEIs more inclusive by promoting a holistic comprehension of the gender issues in migration flows. Odyssea is participating as Associate partner.
ECO JOBS

The overall objective of the project is to introduce students from VET schools to the possibilities offered by green jobs, through the development of a digital game, through which students will simulate the creation and management of a sustainable enterprise, working in international teams and learning by playing the most important competences required to succeed in these new careers.
ON MY FEET

The project aims to support young people in the transition period of their life, when they are figuring out how to take care of themselves and what to do in their life. We are specifically interested in offering a helping hand to those young people, who so far might not have been as fortunate as others in the early stage of their life, such as orphans, youths from single parent family, youths in foster care, migrant minors, youths from rural areas, remote areas disadvantaged regions, youths at risk of social exclusion, NEETs etc.

In order to support the formal education system that is still limping behind the rapid changes in the way we learn and communicate with each other, the Think Twice project creates opportunities for competence development of learners and educators, capacity building of education providers, and proposals for policymakers making decisions on curricula content, initial and CPD education of teachers in the area of media and digital literacy.
