Odyssea recently had an incredible opportunity to showcase our work and the challenges facing vulnerable groups at the Delphi Economic Forum. We were honoured to be part of a panel focused on “Youth empowerment through inclusive education, skill building and employability”. Our panel was expertly introduced by Mr. Christos Megalou, the CEO of Piraeus Bank, and featured esteemed guests such as the Governor and Chairman of DYPA (Public Employment Service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs), Dr. Spiros Protopsaltis, and Mr. Yiorgos Nikoletakis leading 100mentors. During the discussion, Odyssea’s CEO, Mr. Jai Mexis, spoke passionately about our innovative integration model, which has helped thousands of vulnerable individuals find meaningful work through targeted skill development and career counselling.
We were delighted to be joined by such esteemed speakers, including Ms. Maria Klara Martin, director of UNHCR Greece, Mr. Luciano Calestini, director of UNICEF, Dr. Maria Stratigaki, a Professor at the Department of Social Policy of Panteion University, Ms. Nancy Zachariadou from Piraeus Bank, and Dr. Eleni Skouteli, President of ELEPAP. The panel was smoothly moderated by Margarita Pournara from Kathimerini.
Our work is far from over, but it was heartening to reflect on the progress we have made so far. We firmly believe that every vulnerable person deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential, and we will continue to work tirelessly towards this goal. With the support of our esteemed colleagues and partners, we are confident that we can make a real difference in the lives of those who need it most.
